Jim is the inspirational leader and driving force behind University Instructors LLC (UI). Jim founded UI in Richmond, Virginia in 1994 and for almost three decades has built an extraordinary team that exemplifies customer loyalty and trust. As the leader of UI, Jim has proven experience in effective organizational leadership and the ability to build and nurture a culture that is grounded in a shared vision, vibrant in teamwork, supported by mutual respect, and unrelenting in its pursuit of quality. Jim possesses a sound business acumen and typifies characteristics of an exemplary leader – delegating responsibility, sharing in decision-making, promoting effective change, driving results, being teachable and responsible for one’s own accountability, and having a sincere passion for helping students succeed in academics and life. Jim is an entrepreneurial individual with a gifted ability to garner internal and external support and consensus. Jim articulates a compelling vision that frequently invites new partners to join the mission and he possesses an unwavering ability to keep people focused even during challenging times. Jim has the fortitude to carry forward major new projects and initiatives and orients the company toward success by creating strong, effective, and collaborative teams. Jim has a bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing from the University of Richmond.
