Nosika Fisher

Director of Information Technology

Nosika brings more than two decades of technology leadership experience. She has overseen high-impact initiatives across the public K–12 education sector, the Department of Defense, and various federal agencies. Her expertise spans software engineering, AI integration, and cloud transformation. She has led multidisciplinary teams in delivering innovative, secure, and future-ready solutions at scale. As the Director of Information Technology at UI, Nosika serves as the organization’s top technology leader. She is responsible for shaping UI’s enterprise technology vision and driving its digital transformation strategy. In this role, she is building the future of UI’s technical infrastructure, modernizing platforms that support educators and learners, and leveraging data and innovation to enable scalable growth across the education landscape. A champion of technology-enabled learning, Nosika is leading the evolution of UI’s EdTech products—enhancing platforms and integrating advanced data capabilities to unlock deeper insights into learner engagement, instructional outcomes, and program performance. She also guides the implementation of core business systems and is spearheading the development of a unified enterprise architecture aligned with UI’s strategic expansion goals. Nosika holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and brings a people-first approach to leadership, grounded in collaboration, agility, and purpose-driven innovation. She is also deeply involved in K–12 education and currently serves as Chairperson of the Gifted Advisory Committee for Chesapeake Public Schools.
